Israelis Thank Trump For Hostage Release Efforts

On January 24, Israelis expressed their gratitude towards US President Donald Trump for helping secure a ceasefire, with the next group of hostages set to be released on January 25. Ayelet Samerano, mother of hostage Yonatan Samerano, called on Trump to continue supporting efforts until all hostages are freed. Hamas confirmed that the release would occur in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. Herut Nimrodi, whose son remains captive, voiced concerns over the potential collapse of the ceasefire and the uncertainty surrounding her son's fate. The ongoing ceasefire agreement could lead to the release of 33 hostages over the next weeks, and involves a six-week ceasefire phase along with the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. n18oc_world n18oc_crux
